Education on the Homestead
A love of farming and agriculture coincides with a love of education. At Dancing Dreams Homestead, we strive to educate the community on the importance of sustainability and agriculture, especially for our future generations.

Foster a Chick Program
Interested in learning more about raising your own chickens but nervous to get started? Would like the opportunity to raise your own chicks with your family without the commitment of 5-10 years of a full grown chicken? This program is for you!
Foster a chick is a 6 week program that includes everything you need to raise chicks from 3 days old, to 6 weeks old. During each week you will be sent an educational activity to do with your family to learn more about chickens.
What is included: 2-4 chicks, a heat lamp, bedding, netting, waterer, feeder, feed, and grit
At the end of the 6 weeks, around the time when the chicks are getting too big for their brooder, we take the chicks back to our homestead where they will be loved by our family and part of our egg production team!
School education (preK-college)
We love working with our community education partners! Whether it be embryology with preschoolers, anatomy lessons with elementary, or soil sampling education with college students, we enjoy using our land to educate all ages!
If interested in working us into your lesson planning, email dancingdreamshomestead@gmail.com
