Meet our Farmers
Airport Eco Farms
Created by Andrew Sgarelet, Airport Eco Farms, located at the West Wyoming location of Airport Sand and Gravel, offers a variety of organically grown vegetables. Starting with a small garden four years ago, Andrew adds more vegetables, fruits, and flowers every year, using the compost that he creates on site.
“The community is an important factor to why I do what I do. Without the support of like-minded people in the area, some who even volunteer their time to help me with my farming endeavors, my drive wouldn’t be as strong. I believe that the future of farming is dependent on healthy soil to grow healthy food” -Andrew
The Green Mycofarm
Run by Ben Pypiak, The Green Mycofarm offers a variety of gourmet mushrooms organically grown in Berwick Pennsylvania. Growing up in a family of growers, Ben formed a direct relationship with food and the outdoors from a very young age.
“I use entirely chemical-free substrates and fertilizers and want to open people’s minds to the importance of this; what your food is grown in IS just as important as what your food is” - Ben
Rinehimer Farms
Located in Nescopeck PA, Rinehimer Farms is a family-run operation, offering all non-gmo pastured pork, beef, and chicken.
Making the switch from conventional to regenerative farming, Randi and Gary, and their two daughters Anna and Faith, reinvented their family’s dairy farm. Following many of Joel Salatin’s methods, they learned to work with the land to provide quality foods to the local community.
“ Our hope is that when a customer comes to the farm, they see US working, the animals, the connection, and the passion it takes to do this kind of farming. We strive to give our livestock the best life they can have for their time here. All those factors make a very different experience from commercially produced products. Education is imperative.I hope consumers take away the fact that they have options. They can think outside the box, too” -Randi Rinehimer, owner
Dancing Dreams Homestead
Located in NEPA, Dancing Dreams Homestead first got their name in 2022, when two 1st generational farmers, Sierra and Joe, decided to take their passion one step further, purchase raw acreage, and begin the journey of a lifetime. Selling eggs is just the beginning of what their homestead aims to accomplish in the long run.
